Dr. Satwinder Bajwa, DVM, MVSc

Dr. Bajwa has been working as a veterinarian since 2009 in the Bay area of California. He earned his master’s degree in Animal Reproduction in India in 2005 and his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree here in the States after completing a one-year clinical program at Oklahoma State University. Formerly, Dr. Bajwa worked as a veterinarian in Vancouver City in Canada before moving to California to become an associate veterinarian at our hospital. His areas of interest include internal medicine, emergency medicine, and surgery. He is a member of American Veterinary Medical Association.

Dr. Bajwa and his wife Jaspreet have two daughters named Keerat and Mona. They are also the proud owners of 3 dogs: a Chihuahua named Rocket, a Doberman pinscher named Chloe, and a Golden retriever–Labrador retriever mix named Jake. The family loves to play and walk them in their free time. When Dr. Bajwa isn’t working, he enjoys listening to music and watching cricket.

Dr. Jatinderpal Chahal, DVM

As a child growing up in Punjab, India, Dr. Chahal experienced the loss of a family dog due to a splenic tumor, which affected him in such a manner that it encouraged him to pursue a life caring for animals. He adds, “I grew up in a rural environment in close proximity to animals. I fed cattle and dogs and developed relationship with these animals, which guided me to become a veterinarian.” For his veterinary studies, Dr. Chahal attended the college of Veterinary Science at PAU and received his DVM degree in 2004. His areas of interest include internal medicine, surgery, ultrasound, and laser therapy. He is a member of American Veterinary Medical Association. He is also a graduate of the ECFVG program at Louisiana State University’s School of Veterinary Medicine. He has been working as a veterinarian in the California Bay Area since 2006.

At home he has an English bulldog named Roni-Roo. Dr Chahal’s interests include soccer, listening to music, and reading books.

Dr. Sunayna Grewal, DVM, MVSc

Dr. Sunayna Grewal grew up in rural Haryana, India surrounded by domestic cattle, buffalo, dogs and cats. She developed fondness for these animals while playing with them as a child. During her childhood years, she saw her father – a veterinary technician by profession – care for the animals and got inspired by him to choose veterinary profession.

She did her Bachelors in Veterinary Sciences from Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences. She graduated first class with distinction and received Gold medal for her excellent academic performance in various aspects of the degree program.

She completed master’s degree program with distinction in Animal biotechnology which focused mainly on research. She started her PhD in the same field. Even though she enjoyed doing research, she missed working with animals and then she decided to start working towards to take care of various illnesses of animals.
She came to the US in 2015 and completed her Educational Commission for Foreign Veterinary Graduates (ECFVG) certification with the American Veterinary Medical Association. While studying, she volunteered at Ace Animal Hospital for one year.
Her professional interests include internal medicine and surgery. She loves caring for her patients and bonding with them.

Dr. Sunayna lives in Sunnyvale with her husband (Ashutosh). In her spare time, she enjoys listening to music, singing and playing table tennis.

Amber Milo, Practice Manager

Amber Milo joined Saratoga Veterinary Hospital in January 2015. She has been working with Dr. Bajwa since 2011 at previous animal hospital in San Jose. She’s been a part of his original staff and now working at Saratoga Veterinary Hospital as a practice manager.

She’s had a love for pets since she was a child. She had cats growing up, but now has a pitbull named Cyrus and two ferretts named Carbon and Bandit.

She loves relaxing with her husband Nick when not working and learning how to work on cars. Her other passion is shopping online, which she can never get enough of.

Minh Nguyen, Veterinary Technician

Raising a Husky and a Labrador Retriever during my college years, She came to know how much responsibility it takes to be a good owner and to provide the best care to pets. She developed relationship with animals over the years, especially with her two puppies. Unfortunately she could not keep them as she moved to San Jose. 4 years later, she graduated from University of Washington with a bachelor degree. She became interested in veterinary field once and then she started to volunteer at San Jose Animal Shelter and later joined Saratoga Veterinary Hospital as an employee. With the love for animals and her desire to pursue medical field, veterinary medicine is one of the best choice she has ever made. She is working her way to veterinary school to expand her knowledge and gain more experiences in helping and treating different kinds of animals as she thinks animals are meant to be loved, not to be suffered.

Katie Felch, Veterinary Assistant

Ever since she was a young kid in her family and she always had pets, most of them were cats, then they adopted their first dog Venus from an animal rescue group. Ever since, she always loved animals and always wanted to help them. She has been in this field for two years and she can’t imagine working anywhere else. She treats every animal that comes in like it were her own and it makes her happy to help the pets as well as their owners. In her free time she likes to watch her nephew hangout with her pups as well as go on long walks with them and watch tv and movies with the family.

Hanna Olivares, Veterinary Assistant

Hanna is originally from Monterey County. She loves and cares about animals throughout her life that’s why she decided to join veterinary field. She completed her veterinary assistant certification. She has a dog named Pumpkin. She loves to try all kinds of delicious foods at various places in Bay area.

Will Leasure, Pet Groomer

Will Leasure was raised in a Nike Animal Rescue foster home, where he used to house as many as 17 dogs at a time throughout his high school years.

He joined old Saratoga Pet Clinic as a dog bather /kennel manager while he was in high school (1989). He worked there for 7 years and was the supervising technician when he left there. In addition, he worked as a technician at Cameron Vet Hospital and Murphy Avenue Pet Clinic.

He became certified in Pet Grooming at Beaugay’s School of grooming in Los Altos in 1997. He has worked 12+ years in field of grooming at Grooming extraordinaire, Shampoochez and Town and Country Grooming.

In 2010, he went back to school and graduated with Veterinary Technician program at Carrington College. He worked as veterinary assistant/technician for Kirkwood Animal Hospital before joining Saratoga Veterinary Hospital.

He has a 10 year old ‘Princess’ Kitty and he says she is best cat in the world.
